The Cheap Vibes formed in December of 2011 when Mike Myers, Rob B. and Steve Berman teamed up to form a retro style Hard Rock band with a Psychedelic, Bluesy overtones and Garage Rock attitude.
Not long after, Nick Pappalardo jumped on board, solidifying the band as a tight, compact unit that moves forward with raw aggression, punchy rhythm, and all the dirty fuzz one can want.
Stan Michael entered the fold, giving the band just the powerful, energetic, dynamic punch that it needs with his versatile vocal range and impeccable stage presence.
Their debut album, No Way Out, has been released in April 2014. It features 12 tracks, including 11 originals and a cover of The Sonics' "Shot Down".
In 2015, Stan left the band to pursue other interests. In early 2016, new singer Billy Mutz entered the line-up and will continue gigging as the band works on their second album.
Since then, the band has been performing regularly throughout the tri-state area, including The Bowery Electric, The Bitter End, The Irish Cottage, and The Clash Bar. They released No Way Out II in early 2017, and are working on another brand new full-length to follow it up.
